This review looked at the condition, accessibility and overall usability of the footpaths, bridleways and byways across the parish. It provides a helpful snapshot of how easy our paths are to use — whether for everyday walking, dog‑walking, pushchairs, or simply enjoying the countryside.

The Parish Council has recently completed an audit of our local Public Rights of Way.
While the audit gives us a strong baseline, ongoing community involvement would be appreciated. Footpaths can change quickly due to weather, vegetation growth or land management, and parishioners are often the first to spot issues.
How You Can Get Involved
- Report problems such as overgrowth, damaged signs, blocked access, or unsafe surfaces to Norfolk County Council – Footpaths
- Share positive feedback on routes that are working well or improvements you’ve noticed.
- Let us know about accessibility challenges, especially where stiles, gates or surfaces make routes difficult for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
- Tell us which paths you use most, helping us prioritise maintenance and conversations with landowners.
Your observations help us work constructively with Norfolk County Council and local landowners to keep our paths safe, accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Why It Matters
Public Rights of Way are protected routes that allow everyone to walk and explore the parish. They are part of a wider county network managed by Norfolk County Council, who maintain the surface of the path while the land remains privately owned . Community reporting ensures issues are identified early and supports fair prioritisation of repairs.
